In the Huang Jin Empire, there lived a girl who was a time-traveling, special agent and a group of young, but intelligent boys. They all started from their home countries and went about to conquer the world.

Chu Qiao was once agent 005 for the the military unit 11. After being framed and thrown into prison, she successfully escaped but then sacrificed her life to protect the special agent unit from being bombed. When she woke up again, Chu Qiao had traveled to the Xia Dynasty as an 8-year-old slave girl. Due to receiving help from Yan Xun during their escape, there fate was bound together, as Chu Qiao would then spend years helping him rebel and reconquer his land.

However, as they walked further and further down the path to their dream, they grew further apart. One reason was because of the way they dealt with things, the other was because of a rather meddlesome Zhuge Yue, who never stopped loving Chu Qiao, despite having their loyalties lie on opposite ends.

The old regime will crumble and wither away, letting the new Xia Dynasty be reborn from the ashes. (dark, child abuse, action, adventure, time travel, historical, political, romance)

    I wonder if the drama will really be like this novel. The teasers seemed to me like the drama won’t be showing the MC as a girl but as a young woman from the beginning. I guess I’ll have to wait to see.

      2. Um, no. Translating is more work than writing a novel. Plus, the releases are free. Just extra chapters will be 30$. Meaning you don’t have to pay. Yes, I will start translating soon. $3 for a whole book is absolutely ridiculous and insulting. If you professionally get a couple of pages translated you will have to shell out more than $30 let alone a whole book.

    Are you watching the drama and hooked? I am.. which prepelled me to read your translations.. I didn’t know it would be a time traveled Chu Qiao who ends up in a pre teen body. It was hard watching some of the atrocities that went on starting with the hunting ground amongst the hungry wolves, and the shooting for sport young Lords.. but to think how young they are in the novel, it was a scene , for me..straight out of The Hunger Games.
    Honestly, I only skimmed over most of the murders in your translations …and peep thru my fingers with the drama, while reading the subtitles . I don’t know how you did the translations, this book is not for the timid, or weak. Thank you!!
    Don’t know how true the drama will stay with the novel…only one week left. Love Shawn Dou as Yun Xun. Golly, in the scene where he cries out for his loved ones…the visceral pain was gut wrenching. Zhaoliying is without a doubt flawless. Love the cast.

        I wonder your take on the drama might be…and if the actors casted came close to how you imagine them.

      3. The movie goes well until 25 episodes. After that, it was trully awful. Thanks to the main actresses and actors, they made the strong scenes became legendary, and awful scenes became bearable to watch. The movie didn’t follow the book and only took it’s important plots and knitted it into different kind of chaos. And the most awful thing was, the final episode end at cliffhanger, far before the story trully end. That’s what others who had read the book said. It was biggest disappointment after 25 good episodes and superb actings of the actors. 😔
